The rain block to the north of us let up a bit overnight so on Sunday Sept 21 the birds came through! We caught a nice selection of the regular migrants and also the first Swainson’s thrushes of the season. Bird movements were lighter today and more were seen onsite than were banded. Species seen onsite this weekend but not banded include Blackburnian warbler, Chestnut-sided warbler and Mangrove cuckoo.
